The DIC system uses a adjustable sliding Nomarski DIC-A (Nikon catalogue number: 23944) prism with built-in linear polarizer (which is removable) for the top prism. A revolving turret (Zernike type) condenser houses 3 fixed prisms for the 20x, 40x, and 100x objectives. There is also a sliding polarizer and phase 1 and phase 3 light rings provide for phase contrast with the two phase objectives. There is also a DF stop for dark-field viewing. All optics are in excellent condition! The lamp house at the rear houses a 12W, 100W quartz halogen lamp with provisions for 3 filters. Built-in switch-mode 12V PSU with rheostat and photo setting option. There is a trinocular head with 3 light-path settings and a pair of Nikon CFWN 10x/20 oculars.
