⭕ The Moulton Speedsix was arguably the most refined and modern-feeling of the Classic Moultons. Its specification was entirely under the control of AM, unlike the later Raleigh models, and it shows how the Moulton was evolving towards the multi-function, high-spec bicycles that would be made when the spaceframe era began. Indeed, the Speedsix was marketed with the memorable strapline Dressed for travel; stripped for action.

The important features that set the Speedsix apart from the more common (but still excellent) Classic Moultons of the period are:

* Removable tail beam and rear carrier
* Adjustable friction dampers on the rear forks and stiffer rubber in the suspension
* Six speed gearing using modified Cyclo Benelux P2 derailleur
* 17 alloy wheels with high pressure tyres
* All alloy componentry, apart from the cranks and seatpost
* A higher quality of finish on the frame construction
* Wider rear fork dropout
