What is a leak down test:

A leak down test is a much more accurate method of checking cylinder condition than a standard compression test. The cylinder is filled will 100 lbs of air pressure and is then gauged as to how much pressure is held and how much blows by the piston rings. Anything from 0 - 15% leak is in the normal range. Over 15% means the motor has some wear or damage.
