⭕ The great thing about the Pre-Amp mod is that it is independant of the tape machine electronics and can be switched to either from the front panel (see small toggle below the VU Meter)The electronics also incorporate a D.I.1/4,pad toggle,phase reverse,and a 48V Phantom power toggle.This is a USEABLE piece of history!If you are not familiar with how an Ampex 350 mic pre sounds,youre missing out.We have a couple of others here and cant live without them.
This unit comes with all of the original paperwork from AMPEX to Hank as well as rare AMPEX brochures and Hanks notes for the purchase.In addition,as many of you may know,Hank Snow and Colonel Tom Parker,were the original co-managers of Elvis Presley.The company was called Jamboree Productions and is of historical significance in regard to the life and promotion of Elvis.So,in that spirit,I am including a copy of an original letter from Col.Tom Parker to Hank Snow,dated Dec.17,1955 that I got with this machine.The letter details some tour information for the upcoming year of 1956 and is a fabulous piece on its own.
