⭕ 1938 INDIAN JR SCOUT MOTORCYCLE PROJECT. ALLYOU SEE IN PICTURES IS ALL I HAVE A REAL NICE FRONT AND REAR FRAMES, A COMPLETE MOTOR, A COMPLETE TRANSMISSION WITH CLUTH, THE FRONT FORK, HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY, AND EXTRA REAR FRAME. THE FRAMEES ARE VERY NICE WITH NO RUST OR REPAIRS OR ACCIDENT DAMAGE. THERE ARE NO MISSING TABS ON THE FRAMES. THE FRAME AND MOTORBOLTS TOGETHER VERY EASILY AND TIGHT, AND THERE ARE NO BENT PARTS. THE REAR SECTION HAS A 537 PREFIX, MAKING IT A LATE 1937 FRAME. THE EXTRA REAR FRAME HAS NO NUMBERS MARKED, SO YOU COULD STAMP THE NUMBER TO MATCH THE MOTOR. ALL HOLES ARE TIGHT AND HAVE GOOD THREADS. THE MOTOR TURNS OVER VERY WELL, AND HAS GOOD COMPRESSION. YOU CAN HEAR THE HISS SOUND AS THE PISTONS GO UP AND DOWN. IT HAS ALL OF THE CAMS, OIL PUMP, AND OTHER INTERNAL PARTS. THE MOTOR MAY ACTUALLY BE READY TO RUN. IT IS COMPLETE WITH THE L&L LINKERT M7 CARB AND THE ORIGINAL INDIAN DISTRIBUTOR. THE CARB IS COMPLETE AND IN GREAT SHAPE. THE ORIGIANAL KICKER WORKS GREAT. THE MOTOR IS A 1938 MOTOR SINCE IT STARTS WITH THE ECH PREFIX. IT IS A VERY EARLY MOTOR AND WOULD BE THE 67TH JR. SCOUT MADE IN 1938, MOST LIKELY MADE WITH LEFT OVER 1937 CASES SINCE THE CASES ARE CAST ALUMINUM. IN EARLY 1938 INDIAN SWITCHED TO CAST IRON ENGINE CASES. THE HEADS HAVE A FEW CHIPPED FINS, BUT OVERALL THE MOTOR IS ORIGINAL AND IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. THE TRANSMISSION IS ALSO IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE CASE. IT GOES EASILY INTO ALL THREE GREARS AND THE FLUID IS NICE AND CLEAN. THE SPROCKETS HAVE GREAT TEETH AND THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY WORKS WELL. THE FRONT FORK IS VERY NICE AND STRAIGHT WITH NO RUST OR DAMAGE. THE SHACKLE LINKS ARE MISSING, BUT THESE ARE EASY TO FIND. THE HANDLEBARS ARE REPOPS THAT ARE READY TO BE BRAZED INTO THE ORIGINAL CENTER CASTING.
