⭕ Triumph Pre-unit BRONZE Cylinder Head T100 5T ~1939
Extremely Rare Genuine Triumph Bronze head circa 1939, complete as shown in the photos and with crankcases. In outstanding condition, no damage, no repairs, combustion chamber finish is almost mirror like! (Crankcases need a good clean, but are undamaged).
From internet research (and interested parties):
We believe that less than 300 of these heads were built in 1939 and offered as a factory option on the T100 of that year. Subsequently the war stopped production and the triumph factory was bombed. None were produced after this. Triumph started producing bikes again in 1946. We can only find references to 1939 T100s with this head but through emails we are told the bronze heads were fitted to 1938, 1939 & 1940 T100s.
As stated above the engine we had was a 1946 5T. We do not know whether Triumph fitted this head to the engine out of some remaining stock, or whether it is a 1939 head somebody fitted themselves. Either way, we are selling the head and crankcases together.
