⭕ This fine old vintage cello is a remarkable sounding instrument of considerable power and projection while having the ability to shade and sing. It measures: 48 inches overall, back is 30 inches, upper bout is 13.5 inches, lower bout is 17 inches and the ribs are 4.5 inches wide. The cello appears to never have had any serious repairs which would impair the sound. No sound post or bassbar cracks to the top or back but the varnish shows typical aging and wear It is hard to find instruments of this age in such superb condition (especially since it was made as war was breaking out in Europe and Paris was to become an occupied city) This is a very healthy cello with a big rich tone and is suitable for a professional player.
