⭕ 1959 Questar Quartz Mirror Standard 3.5 Telescope Converted to Wide Angle in 1964.
Fully Seviced in 2015 and is in Excellent Condition.


1959 Quartz Questar - originally a Quartz Standard 3.5 was reconfigured for the Wide Angle Aperture in 1964.
The Telescope is in Excellent condition having been kept in controlled humidity storage.
Optics are Excellent. View is clean and clear. Mirror is beautifully bright.
There is a very slight residual haze after cleaning on the rear edges of the front element
Optics were tested and are performing perfectly.
Full Sun Filter is in Excellent condition with no pinholes.
Quartz Questar comes complete with Case, Cover, Keys, 80-160x & 40-80x Eyepieces, Full Sun Filter, Front Cap, and Auxiliary Baseplate.

1959 Questar is from from the estate of a highly regarded engineer, photographer, and amateur astronomer.
It has a complete and interesting provenance.
It was primarily used to photograph skyscraper cornices.
The owner was a meticulous records keeper and maintained carbon copies of his correspondences with Questar.
There are signed Letters from Lawrence and Marguerite Braymer, and John Schneck.
