⭕ The lens has been protected its whole life with an aquatech sport shield. This is a complete over the lens cover. The result is that the lens is in excellent condition.
The body of the lens is very clean -- there are a very small number of small marks (shown in photos), some slight marking where the hood attachs (also in photo) and the red ultrasonic writing has also faded a bit (also shown in photo). Apart from these it is nearly as new. The only other point to note is that the gelatin filter holder has lost one of its pinch tabs. This makes no difference to the operation as the retaining slip functions as normal when operated with the one tab. This tab was lost about 7 years ago and the filter has never malfunctioned during that period.
Aside from the above the lens is in excellent condition -- I doubt a better example of this lens will be found.
