The entirely new illumination of the bright-line frames by means of red LED light allows the omission of the illuminator window, and makes the frontal aspect of the camera appear even more minimalist. An additional aspect includes the redesigned and highly polished Leica logo positioned centrally, directly above the lens.
Color gray, solid titanium,real leather, otherwise exclusively used for the interiors of Audi premium class automobiles, has been utilized for the encasement of the camera body structure and its carrying system. The real leather inlays of the actual camera have been embossed with a special diamond pattern to enhance its grip characteristics.
