This lens is factory 6-bit coded for digital recognition by the Leica M8, M8.2, M9, M9-P, ME, M Monochrom and M-240 cameras.
Cosmetically the lens for sale is as perfect as it can be, showing virtually no signs of use; its hard to find a mark on it.
Optically glass is beautifully clean, with no scratches or cleaning marks, no haze or fungus, and just a very minimal, negligible amount of dust.
There is no oil on the blades. Mechanically everything is flawless, pure Leica at its best: the three different focal lenghts move smoothly and click perfectly in place; focusing is firm and accurate and the aperture ring is snappy with just the right amount of friction.
This is a wonderful wide angle lens, arguably one of Leicas very best. Through an appropriate adapter (not included in this sale)
it can also be used with fantastic results on many other camera systems, including the much hyped Sony Alpha A7 and A7-R.
And with three focal lenghts in one, this lens could as well be all thats needed for fulfilling any photographers wide angle needs.
