⭕ Self-catering holiday apartment rental in Aguadulce on the Almerian Coast

Aguadulce is a small town situated on the beautiful Costa Almeria. The lovely sandy beach is around 300 metres from the apartment and you can walk there in 5 minutes. The photos are of the surrounding attractions and the apartment. The apartment has a certain Spanish charm. Its clean, spacious, well located, and has everything you need for your holiday. Its situated on the 3rd floor (with lift) in a quiet, well maintained 4 story building. There is a good size sunny balcony with table and chairs and a sea view through the palm trees. Its south facing and gets sun for most of the day. The bedroom has 2 single beds which can be pushed together to form a super-king. Another single sofa/bed can be found in the living room. Bedding and towels are provided and electricity is included. We do not allow smoking or pets in the apartment. There are 4 supermarkets and a selection of restaurants within easy walking distance.

The Almerian province has the most sunshine and least rain of anywhere in mainland Europe, but it remains relatively undiscovered by those outside Spain. Aguadulce is definitely a Spanish resort and will please those who prefer peace and quiet over night-life. We would recommend the resort for mature people, if you are looking for a wild time you will be disappointed here. Its a great place for a beach holiday but also for those seeking activities such as golf, cycling, hiking, bird watching, kayaking, diving and snorkeling. There are 3 golf courses in the area. This is a great area for cycling and hiking - there is the coast which is pretty flat and easy and the surrounding hills and mountains, which can be very challenging. The city of Almeria is just 8 km away and is well worth a visit. It boasts the Alcazaba (free entry), the second largest Moorish fortress in Spain, after the Alhambra in Granada. Another must see is the Cabo de Gata, a protected coastal nature park covering 460 sq km, with some of the best rocky cliffs, deserted sandy beaches and crystal clear water you can find.

Almeria is the airport to fly to and flights are pretty cheap. You can get flights from these airports: Gatwick, Stansted, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin.

Almeria Airport is 16 km from our apartment in Aguadulce. You can hire a car at the airport quite cheaply from a selection of car hire companies. A taxi to Aguadulce is around e30 and private transfer companies charge about the same. Buses are also a viable option and very cheap - you would need a bus from the airport to Almeria and another from Almeria to Aguadulce - in total this would take about an hour and at time of writing costs e2 per person.
