⭕ A very rare Hardy Brass Perfect Salmon Fly Reel circa 1895/1896 size 4 1/4 diameter with domed earlier than ivorine handle, block foot pierced with five holes, strapped rim tension screw with Turks head locking nut and early caliper spring check mechanism, dished drum with large and small perforations and nickel silver locking screw, faceplate stamped Rod in Hand trade mark, enclosed oval with HARDYS PAT stamped above, reel retains much of the original bronze patina. Reel weighs 800 grammes. An extremely fine original example.
