⭕ This is Gray Marine Fireball 160 Racing Motor . I believe it is a 1942 motor based on the casting date on the head which is C-7-2. I have been told based on the number of head bolts if is a prewar motor. I purchased this motor from an engine builder. He told me it came from the estate of a local man thru his son. The son found the motor in his fathers barn covered up. It had been there for many years.I dont know the whole history of this motor but it appears that the last owner was in the process of a mild rebuild or an upper end rebuild and put everything back together and never fired it up and it sat for many years. The carburetors all seem to be very complete but they are stuck and the upper part of the rear aluminum exhaust manifold has been welded on.
