⭕ The features and specifications of the Nagra IV-S are far too numerous to list here. This recorders equalization is in accordance with the CCIR standard, but it can also playback tapes recorded at 7.5ips or 15ips according to the NAB standard. Equalization for recording and playback according to the Nagra Master standard is available at 15ips.

5-inch tapes can be used with the lid on the machine, but the lid can be quickly released if 7-inch tapes are used. The IV-S records in stereo.

The recorder is setup for SM468/LPR35 tape, and there is a control to make fine bias adjustments. The recorder is fitted with a Pilot Head, ruby tape guides, a tape scraper, and an indicator to show how much tape has been used (in time) while in the record mode.

The recorder can operate from a set of standard D-cell torch batteries, or from an external power supply providing between 18 volts and 25 volts DC at 1 ampere (neither are included with the sale). A QCSE lead is included, and is used between an external signal voltage source and the Line Input Sockets of the Nagra.
