⭕ Gretsch 6120 Vintage 1958 / 1959 Made in USA Guitar and amp Combo. (This is not reproduction or reissue it is a real vintage 1958 Guitar). Dated Late 1958 Serial No 29XXX, But has all the characteristics of a 1959 Model. The 6120 ink stamp above the serial number has faded over the years. The Guitar is in a mint original condition with sales tags, paperwork and polishing cloth. It has never been repainted and never been refretted. It has the 1958-1959 trestle bracing inside. The white plastic binding around the guitar is in mint condition as well, with no cracks or binding rot. The Paintwork is perfect all over (no wear thru marks) except for the finish on the back of the guitar has small belt buckle marks on it but has not rubbed through the paint. The paintwork has faded from amber to more a blonde finish. The pickguard is mint with no cracks in it. The pickup surrounds have a few small cracks around the mounting screws. The guitar is fitted with PAF filtertron pickups. All the hardware is original except for the bridge, truss rod cover and the tuners. I have retrofitted brand new waverly (made in usa) tuners which are almost identical to the originals but much higher quality. The truss rod cover is repro gretsch. The bridge is a repro gretsch rockin bar bridge which was what was originaly on this model. I had a tunamatic bridge fitted to the guitar mounted with two small screws, which has left two small screw holes under the bridge base which cannot be seen. I am suppling the tunamatic bridge if someone wishs to refit it. The tone switch capacitors have been removed because i found them a nuisance, i am suppling the original capacitors in case someone wants to refit them. Guitar comes with original hardcase in supermint condition with original dealer tag on it.

The guitar also comes with matching 1950s gretsch electromatic single speaker amplifier 15-20watt, which has been restored with new capacitors and valves. Has original speaker which sounds great. Non original silver fender grill cloth and custom made metal gretsch name badge. Amp is currently running 240volt power source, which would have to be converted if your country does not run 240 volt power.
