⭕ New 528 HEMI crate engine. The engine is rated at 640 HP and 612 Ft-Lbs of torque. This engine has been stored in an air conditioned and heated personal collection (in sealed crate) since new. I worked in an engineering capacity on the early 528 HEMI development program in Detroit and purchased 2 of these engines. One of the 528 engines I installed in a 1970 Challenger, as seen in the pictures. I drive the car daily. The second I am offering for sale. At one point in time Mopar offered by special order on a short production run a manifold for this engine that would fit in early muscle cars without hood modification. That manifold was secured and installed on this engine. The manifold is the same one shown installed in the Challenger . It is the only modification to this engine. The original higher rise manifold is also included. The factory installation / set-up instructions are included. This engine is very tractible on the street (including running A/C). It is also a torque monster breaking the tires loose in a straight line at 50+ MPH. The idle is pleasantly lumpy at 800 RPM and sounds wicked. Nothing sounds as good as a large HEMI. I have electronic header cut outs on the car which really sounds good with this engine.
