Based in the East Midlands, but able to travel anywhere to advise, inform, make applications on behalf of and represent clients on Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005 issues. We are also experienced in training retail staff, Councillors and Licensing Authority Officers and speak to Local Councils, Residents and Community Groups on licensing issues.

Our Senior Consultant has over 30 years experience dealing with licensing matters including five years teaching Police Officers liquor licensing, public entertainment, drug and gambling legislation, seven years as a Police Licensing Officer in The North East and a further seven years as the licensing manager in a local authority.

He was a Founding Member of the Licensing Steering Group and has represented Kent at the Local Government Association. Additionally, he was on the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) Working Party that produced the Managing the Night Time Economy qualification and has been a Best Bar None evaluator.

He has sat on Home Office Technical Groups reviewing the Licensing Act and has represented NCiF (National Casino industry Forum) at the Home Office.

He sits on the Accreditation Panel for the prestigious Purple Flag Award Scheme.

He has delivered training to Councillors and Local Authority Officers and speaks on licensing issues to educational bodies, Village Hall and Community Groups as well as PubWatch and LVAs. He is the Licensing Consultant to the Kent Association of Local Councils (KALC).

He is registered with the Institute for Learning, is a Fellow and Training Professional with the BIIAB (FBII.tp) and through a Training Partnership with NVC Awareness Ltd is able to offer a wide range of nationally accredited, professionally delivered and cost-effective training courses relevant to the hospitality sector.
