1936 Talbot Ten Tourer


⭕ Very rare, unique car. Only 1017 built between 1936 and 1948, only 36 known to have survived, and this is the first one built. 4 seat open tourer. Coach built (Whittingham & Mitchel), wood framed body of aluminium and steel. No rust.
In very good original, unrestored condition. Updated with seat belts and turn signals for safety.
Runs and drives well. Has Hillman Minx 1265cc engine installed now, but original 1936 Talbot engine comes with car. Top speed is about 70 mph. Everything works. (even clock). 4 cylinder, 40 hp, 4 speed, all syncromesh, remote change, gearbox. Fold flat windscreen, right hand drive,
knock-off 16 wire wheels with Avon tires, original brown leather upholstery, original black paint, new top and side curtains.
Believed to be the first Talbot Ten Tourer built. Serial number 1001.
Same owner for past 25 years. Known history back to 1939. Very good club support and spares in England through Sunbeam, Talbot, Alpine Register.
Comes with original owners handbook, parts manual, repair manual, metal spare tire cover, tools, spare parts, and
history documentation.
