The Audiolab 8000X7 is a genuine one-box, seven channel power amplifier, capable of handling even difficult loudspeaker loads - it will cleanly deliver 7 x 100W (8 ohms, RMS) of power. However, you can also run it in five or six channel mode too. By bridging two channels it is possible to create a more powerful single channel - especially useful if your front left and front right speakers are more performance critical than the other speakers in your 5.1 system. This can be achieved simply by changing switch settings on the rear of the unit. Alternatively, you may prefer to use this flexible home cinema power amp in a similar 5.1 speaker system, with the front stereo speakers bi-amped, delivering an even more dynamic soundstage and giving you genuine audiophile performance in stereo as well as multi-channel modes. It also features extensive protection which silently ensures that, should your demands exceed whats safe, the amp will shut itself off before automatically trying again after a short delay. Ive done some research into what the price should be. Im open to offers, but if theyre significantly under my asking price Im going to ask for links to where & when you saw it cheaper to see how you justify the difference.
