1964 MARSHALL JTM 45 PLEXI VINTAGE AMP AMPLIFIER HEAD

⭕ For sale a vintage 1964 Marshall JTM 45 offset Metal Badge/Coffin Logo electric guitar amplifier. This particular example, serial number 103x, is one of the rarest Marshall amplifiers ever produced, let alone, possibly the rarest and most desirable amplifier ever made. In fact, the historical provenance of such an amp overshadows that of all other musical instrument amplifiers.

This incredible amp is also incredibly well-preserved. It is clean and nearly 100% all original. It appears that only the Polarity switch was replaced, as even the capacitors are intact and original! There are some obvious, yet expected, signs of wear on the tolex, but nothing too distracting. The original grill cloth is surprisingly intact and looks exceptional with just a few stains, but no rips or tears and is still structurally fine. The front control panel is very crisp and clean with only a few small blemishes, and still retains all the original knobs. Even the original leather handle is perfectly intact. As far as originality is concerned, this is as close as youll get with an early JTM 45. All the transformers are original.

The amp works perfectly and sounds great. It sounds much like a great Plexi, and really encourages the user to turn the amp all the way up for the most absolutely unbelievable naturally saturated tone. The amp is so responsive, it sounds the way you wish all Marshalls sounded; aggressive, loud, efficient, yet pleasant and harmonically rich. After playing through the amp for only a minute, it is clear that such equipment influenced the future British rock gods to take music in the direction it was taken. Truly inspiring.
