Aluminium Frames are from 15 Gold Monitors!!

These are carefully restored Tannoy Red Monitors. The only difference to other Reds is that the aluminum frames were taken from 2 Gold Monitors because the frames from the Reds were too badly damaged to be used again. People who know about the old Tannoy Monitors know, that the aluminium frames from Gold, HPD and Red Monitors are identical except for colour, Serialnumbers and, in some cases, the fixing holes.

In effect, these are almost new speakers.

- They were completely dismanteled, cleaned thouroughly, and all dust was removed.
- The aluminium frames were painted 3 times with the original Red Monitor colour.
- The magnet covers were also repainted 3 times.
- The bass cones and the high frequency units have been renewed.
- The crossovers are new and of very high quality! With these you can also Bi-Amp!
- They are made by a company in London for Tannoy.
- Even the screws for the magnet caps are new!


These speakers have been tested and sound simply awesome! I compared them to a pair of Gold Monitors and there is a difference if not a major one. The bass is more accurate with the Reds. I didn´t notice much difference in the high end and some people prefer Golds, and some prefer the Reds. A matter of taste I suppose.

Both Golds and Reds are awesome in my oppinion and I have no real prefference.
The price for real Tannoy Red Monitors has gone up, so here is a chance to get a pair in MINT CONDITION for about half of what the others want.
