1900 De Dion Bouton 8 HP Engine Horseless Carriage Brass Era Auto Car

⭕ Up for sale is the nicest 8 HP De Dion Bouton motor I have ever seen loose. These are super rare and desirable. These were used in the 1901, 1902, 1903, and 1904 DeDion Bouton Populaire models automobile. Some cars came with 6 HP and people have upgraded their DDB cars with 8 HP ones for more speed and power.
Has serial number 112** on both sides of the crankcase and number 82** stamped on the front of the crankcase. Complete minus timer cover.
No visible head or crank case cracks.
This exact motor was used in the 1901, 1902, and 1903 runabouts built by Waltham Orient and Charles Metz of Waltham. Mass. He also built bicycles and the Orient Buckboard in 1903. This was the pre buckboard model. Probably used a Longuemare carb carburetor. Its similar to a French Aster motor also. Motor is dissembled and inspected and looks great inside!
