Monkey Huts are a tried and tested, efficient shade structure for use at Burning Man (yes I use one). They are super easy to put up and take down and cost a fraction of the price of alternatives. Shade is VERY important while attending Burning Man to protect you from the sun, wind and all the other elements on playa. Wind speed has being clocked at 72 miles an hour so you MUST have something that will stay anchored to the ground!

The Monkey Hut is awesome in dust storms, rain, and during general Burning Man foolishness!

The Monkey Hut I will build for you is a half-cylinder, quanset hut style shade structure. This particular plan has a 10 x 12 footprint and as you can see from the pictures you can opt to add a flap that allows you to extend the length of the hut for an additional $80 (total hut + flap = $320}. It is super easy to assemble and upon order completion I will send full instructions to you. There will also be a copy with the Monkey Hut when you pick it up in Reno.
