⭕ 1960 Fender Telecaster guitar in remarkable, all original condition, except for refinish by Fiesta Finishes™. The guitar is otherwise all original, including every single screw on the guitar. It even features the original 1960 wiring scheme, with two tone caps, and has never been updated. This guitar features its original single line Kluson tuners, original string tree, original nut, original pickups, original wiring, original, single ply 8 hole pick guard, original bridge, original Ash Tray bridge cover, original knobs, original control plate, original switch, original pots (date coded 304 947), original tone caps, original jack and cup, original neck plate (47XXX). The body date is X/60, there is no neck date. Since this guitar is from the period when Fender ceased dating necks for a short time, it may have never had a neck date, or it was removed. As mentioned, every single screw on the guitar is original, including the rarely found special #5 screws for the control plate.


The guitar plays and sounds great. The weight is 7 lb. 11 oz. The neck is the typical, thinner, but not too thin, C shape of the period, measuring .800 at the 1st fret and .980 at the 12th.


The body and neck are finished with the same materials (traditional nitrocellulose lacquer) and techniques as Fender used in 1960, and as such, will check, and yellow in due time with exposure to light. Since we simply stripped the black paint from the neck, and did not over sand it, some darker paint residue remains in the wood grain. The neck looks the same as any other neck that has been worn to the wood and has absorbed oils and dirt from the players hands. It just looks old...
