⭕ 2005 custom built Hengel concertina. Thats right HENGEL.My uncle ordered this from Jerry Minar in 2002, and it was completed in 2005. The finish on it is Rosewood on the end caps, and Zebrawood in the middle section. The hand guards are solid Rosewood, and the dividers between the bellow sections have Rosewood strips on them. Charcoal pearloid grills, and gold buttons and trim round out this box beautifully. It is in the key of concert E-flat musette. (5 press C) It has 2 low reeds and 2 mediums, with the musette on one of the lows, so when you pull the switch down, it cuts out the low musette. Other custom features include a #19 button on the right side, which is an octave above #4 on the press, and the same note as #17 press on the draw. The #6 press on the left side is tuned to be the same as #10 draw, giving you an alternate bass for key of E fingering on the ress, as well as more freedom for bass runs. This instrument is in absolute mint condition, and has been rarely played. It comes with the original case, complete with custom decal. The people that built this for my uncle went through painstaking work to make it just so, and this is a one of a kind instrument, as I have been told they will not make any more with wood finish. It has LaGreene reeds, and the frame is made with airline grade 5-ply wood, and only the best quality woods for the soundboard and reed blocks. Not just an instrument, this is a work of art!
