⭕ c1900 6 ft grand piano by world famous manufacturer Carl Bechstein . The cabinet is raised on three turned and octagonal tapering legs and finished in a polished ebony . It maintains all the original period features including the fretwork desk . The instrument has come to us via a part exchange from a Cambridge college . As with all institution pianos there are one or two very minor marks on the cabinet but this usually means they are kept internally well maintained and this would seem to be the case with the hammer head felts and the dampers looking nearly new . Also the ivory keyboard is immaculate and the piano is tuned to concert pitch . The instrument performs very well with an even responsive action , a powerful base and a crisp bell like treble .
