This is a full conservatory grenadilla wood Royal (cR+3) regular bore Loree oboe, obtained by the original owner (professional oboist and university professor) in late 2005. Serial number PR23. It was carefully broken in during spring of 2006 and HAS NEVER CRACKED. The wood of the top joint is a very good quality piece, and the oboe produces a very rich, dark, and sweet tone with a lot of color. With a regular bore, the low notes speak very easily with very smooth response in the low register. This oboe has been meticulously maintained by the owner and adjusted and fine-tuned by Brian Seaton of North American Oboe House. All corks, including pads, bumper corks, and tenon corks are in new or excellent condition, having been replaced recently. All silver, including tenons, are extremely clean.
There is still a lot of life in this instrument. It also comes with the original Loree case and insulated case cover, both in excellent condition.

It includes
-3rd octave key,
-forked F resonance key,
-left-hand F key,
-low B-flat resonance key,
-high D facilitator,
-ergonomic plateau for better comfort of forefinger,
-tenons with dual metal reinforcement to prevent wobbling joints,
-adjustable thumb rest to improve natural positioning of the hand and comfort,
-adjustment screw to regulate the height of the C key to affect color and intonation of the note.
