As everyone knows it is very risky business purchasing such microphones on the internet these days.
However, this is not any 251, it is one that has been inspected 100%. So it is perfectly ready to record with for a very long time. This is an incredible deal considering the provenance and quality of the microphone.

All parts are 100% original to a vintage 251, including the crucial C12 capsule (the correct Ela M 251 C12, and not the 414 C12). The capsule is in AMAZING condition, has been carefully cleaned but NEVER reskinned.
Upgrades & maintenance have been numerous to make this a efficient and functional tool, here are a few:
_deoxidation of all relevant plated contact points throughout the system
_replacement of sub-par cable with Gotham GAC 7 keeping original ends
_Termination of two connectors to proper ground/shield scheme
