⭕ Designed and created by an artist, this unique home sits serenely on a ridge overlooking the scenic bay of Calibishie. Originally created as a home and art studio, the rooms are spacious and airy, painted in pretty Caribbean colors which complement the well-conceived layout of the house.

Located on the main floor is the kitchen(12x18), a bathroom and a large living area (20x18) - all open to the views of Guadeloupe. The top floor contains a sizable bedroom/studio (20x24) with 2 verandas and a bathroom. The lower floor houses a guest room (20x12). There is adequate closet and storage space and also a small laundry room.

The property is equipped with solar power for electricity and hot water and with 3 large water tanks including a backup pump to hold 1800 gallons of water; however, public utilities are close by.

The lot size is a little more than half an acre. The area around the house is filled with a large collection of tropical flowers which attract numerous birds including parrots. There are ample concrete paths and concrete steps between house, garage and garden. Some lead to the lower part of the garden which has been planted with various fruit trees, existing through 9 years of organic production. Additionally there is a garden shed with raised beds set up for growing vegetables.

The picturesque village of Calibishie is one of the fastest growing areas of development on the island. It is a popular vacation spot as well as home to a growing number of ex-pats. Not surprising - some of the best beaches in Dominica are around the corner and the Douglas Charles International Airport is just a 15 minutes drive away.
