⭕ Right: T Carl Zeiss Jena 7x50 Nr. 158045.

Left: Eagle M 117.

Ref Seeger p.180, Rohan p.133.

Condition: Repainted, although there are some areas where the original blue/grey finish is still visible.

Mechanically good, the focusing is smooth and the filter mechanism works correctly.

Optically, good and bad.

External lens surfaces show cleaning micro-scratches to the objectives with the eye lenses being very clean with one scratch on the right hand lens.

There are cleaning marks on the inside surfaces of the objective lenses and some separation bubbles visible in the left ocular, covering approx. 20% of the viewing area.

Internally, quite clear with four small specks of fungus on the right side prisms.
No fungus in the left side, but there is a chip at the edge of one prism, this can only be seen on reverse viewing.

There is an internal rattle, which I believe to be a slightly loose prism. This causes the collimation to be out of alignment when viewing normally, when the binoculars are inverted and viewed through, the collimation is perfect.
