⭕ This is a very rare Circa 1905 cigar vending machine made by M.L Dohan of Richmond, Quebec, Canada. It is very similar in theory to the American Doremus cigar vendor, but much more ornate and much rarer. The machine features an ornate copper finished cast body and beveled glass to allow the customer to view the cigars before he inserted a dime to buy one. Once a dime is inserted, one would lower the tab to obtain a cigar - but heres the kicker...every fifth time a cigar is purchased, a lucky customer will receive two cigars. This genius feature would have surely appealed to the gambler of the era! The machine also features a patented cigar cutter and match holder mounted to its right side. An all-in-one, convenient way for customers to purchase and consume cigars with a gambling incentive.

100% untouched, as found original. There is no damage and no repairs to this machine. It retains the original patented, functioning spring-loaded cigar cutter crowned by the correct and original match holder. All 5 panels of thick, beveled glass are original and in tact with one chip to the top left corner of the front panel. The coin drawer is present, although its small lock is missing. It retains some of its original copper finish that could surely be brought out with some light cleaning.

The machine functions properly including paying 2 cigars every 5th coin. The instruction paper is original - Im sure it is the only example of its kind in existence. I have made no attempt to clean or enhance this machine in any manner. It is being offered as found - directly from the original hotel where it was used.
