Complete NA Cosworth conversion for mk1 or mk2 escort

Fully rebuilt Naturally Aspirated Cosworth engine conversion for mk1/2 escort.
Recently removed from my Grp 4 spec escort.

The engine has covered around 500 miles.
So the engine is only just run in. its never been raced or rallied the car was built for show use.


Before putting it up for sale I wanted to know 100% the motor was right so its been stripped down to the block, everythings been through an industrial parts washer,everything checked,re painted and the engines been reassembled.

It was discovered that the crank had been reground 0.25. Im not a fan of reground cranks so its been replaced with a mint unground 4x4 Cosworth crank and rods, new Mahle mains and big end bearings, Victor Reinz group A head gasket and head bolts. All new gaskets and seals so the engine is ready to go.

205 Block, wire ringed and bored to 2.1 litre
Cosworth 4x4 crank and rods
Accralite 93mm forged race pistons. 12.5-1 compression ratio
High pressure oil pump
Genuine baffled RS2000 alloy big wing sump
Group A head gasket
Cosworth 2wd ported and gas flowed head
BP 300 NA race cams with vernier pulleys
Solid lifters
Twin webber DCOE 50 carburetors
Crankcase breather system with catch tank
Lightened flywheel and heavy duty clutch
All new gaskets, bearings and seals
New spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor arm.

The last owner had the car set up on a dyno and it made 270 BHP at the flywheel. And it really does go when you stick your foot down! I think you can hear the carbs sucking before you see the car they sound awesome!

Facet fuel pump
Fuel pressure regulator
Electronic ignition module
Omex rev limiter (not pictured as still on the car)
Type 9 gearbox, looks to have been rebuilt, gears look good, no visible wear. Changes gear sweet and precise with no sloppyness.
Propshaft to suit english axle.
Starter motor. (could maybe do with a more powerful one as this one sometimes struggles to turn the engine due to the high compression)

Pretty much everything you need to fit it straight into your car!
You will need your own engine mounts as I need to keep the mounts for the engine thats going in next.
