⭕ MG XPAG full engine assembly,rebuilt by one of the countrys leading MG specialist.It has not been fitted or run and was originally rebuilt for my own TA project that was going to be XPAG powered.I have not had the time to further this project and the engine is now surplus to requirements.
The engine was restored earlier this year at a cost of more than £3000 and included the block being correctly prepared and fitted with low friction liners, new pistons, re-profiled performance camshaft and cam bearings, re-ground crankshaft with new main and big end bearing, new cam followers,oil pump gears,timing chain and the entire rotating mass balanced to enable higher revs and guaranteed smooth running.
The cylinder head is fitted with unleaded valves and therefore unleaded fuel compatible.It was assembled and photographed during that time and now had been under cover awaiting fitment.I have the original rocker cover also which is sold with the engine;however it was always my plan to fit a period cast aluminium rocker cover and tappet chest housing cover.They do make the engine look far better and give them a touch of period class, hence the photos that I have show these fitted and they are supplied with the engine.
