1917 Triumph Model H Motorcycle Project

⭕ 1917 Frame 275441 with Engine 64244 HTO so probably a renovated War Department machine.

The machine comes with a Lucas Magdyno which would correspond with the engine being 1919, I believe 1919 was the first year of the Lucas Magdyno. There is no dynamo internals/cap but the intermediate drive gear is present. The magneto has some flux and is missing the pickup and end cap.

This would make the restored bike rideable in all conditions and practical as well as being correct to period.

There is also an early electric headlight( not in pictures) and mounting bracket( needed refurbishment and glass) and later new vintage rear light(pattern), ready to fit that would give you the benefit of a stop lamp if needed. The new rear number plate is ready to receive the rear lamp.

The fork blades were refurbished by Percival Brothers & Webb and so are sound and ready to fit.You will note the spring bridge is not shown(I forgot to put it in the picture) There is a new spring and mounting nuts. There are some new bolts and nuts, these are correct Triumph pattern with locating pins.

The rims are new old stock and the belt rim is a new rolled one.

The rear top rails need repair to their bridge piece.

The carrier is sound and ready to prepare/paint like the frame/tank. There are clear areas of original paint on the tank where leaked oil has preserved it from wear. The red lining/green panelling/ transfer location can be measured and will help in its restoration.

The tool boxes are excellent new items complete with Brooks type locks. The saddle is excellent quality with a Brooks embossed label which is correct for this period. These three items are Mark Baker made so the stitching and leather are first class and match some Brooks originals I have.
