Antique LANGDORFF CYLINDER MUSIC BOX Hidden Bells


⭕ Langdorff Cylinger Music Box with Hidden Bells

From out appraiser: #89XX, Forte Piano Timbre (bells). Beautiful inlay top with green and gold. 15.75 by 2.5 diameter cylinder. The musical teeth consist of 92 teeth on the forte comb, 38 on the piano comb and a lowest bass tooth at the end of the bell comb. There are 9 hidden bells played from 16 teeth, for a total of 147 teeth. Markings on the end of the cylinder are G792/55 (gamme #79X and the year of manufacture was 1855). The letters NF are stamped on the second gear of the governor. This has the standard Langdorff tune sheet with the upright piano motif at the upper center, but with the addition of a small section along the bottom which reads forte Piano.
