Japanese WWll Army Officer's Sword In Mountings, Mantetsu Logo, Prot


⭕ This is a super rare Japanese WWll Army officers first year made proto type Mantetsu sword in original mountings. The blade is stamped Mantetsu logo, dated Showa Tsuchinoe-Tora Fuyu ???? ? (Winter, 1938), shinogi-zukuri shape, before WWll time period made blade. The blade is in old full polish, no rust, no stain, no scratch and in super mint condition. The temper line is suguba with konie active temper and has deep o-maru temper at the point. The forging grain is tight itame-hada and no forging flaws at all. There is no bend, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. The scabbard is heavy metal scabbard, shows minor lacquer loss but no dent, no bend and in excellent condition. The handle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrapping is no loose, no cut and in good condition. Tsuba and seppa are all original, heavy thick tsuba, matched no number stamed and lock mechanism works fine. It measures 27+1/4 tip to the guard, 26+1/4 cutting edge, 1+3/16 width, 7 mm thickness at the notch and 39+1/4 in mountings.
