⭕ Absolutely STUNNING 18 Figure A Bebe Steiner made in the late 1800s by the famous Parisian Doll Maker Jules Nicolas Steiner. Truly of museum quality, this particular doll is wearing her ORIGINAL French Couture outfit created by Galeries Lafayette of Paris, has her original brown human hair wig and CARDBOARD PATE!
Her MINT composition body has its original PATINA, and the MEDAILLE DOR paper label is still fresh and intact. She has the classic Steiner elongated banana fingers, and it appears that her index finger on her left hand might have been reglued at one time ,other than that, FLAWLESS!
Her porcelain head is beautifully painted with soft blush overtones, and her greyish blue paperweight glass eyes have a wonderful expression to them. Her bisque is PERFECT with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs, and she wears her original antique blue glass earrings.
Now for her outfit ,what a FABULOUS creation! She has a two-piece green plaid silk jacket and skirt, velvet and wool plaid reversable cape, one piece white eyelit cotton slip and matching pantaloons, and black cotton socks and leather shoes. The jacket has a green velvet collar and matching bows on its sleeves, which are trimmed in lace. There is also a big silk bow that matches the jacket fabric and acts as a bustle in the back. The jacket secures in the front with small hooks, and their is also a double row of decorative small green buttons embellishing the front. There are pictures of the jacket shown with both the velvet side and reversed to the wool side.
The skirt is just as FANCY as the jacket and hooks in the back. To complete her ensemble she has a very ELABORATE hat made of gold satin, and trimmed with beige tafetta ribbon, cream laces and woodsy flowers, and is completely lined in silk ,absolute PERFECTION! The entire outfit is ANTIQUE, all HAND SEWN, and is ORIGINAL to her; not to mention the PARIS LABEL!
