Very Rare JF & BF Meek Reel. Excellent Condition


⭕ Here we have an extremely rare JF & BF Meek Coin Silver Reel. This reel has three numbered screws on the head cap and four on the tailplate. All of the numbers on the plates match the numbers on the screws. The clickers works great and the reel spins great as well. This reel is featured in Fishing Reel Makers Of Kentucky by Steven K. Vernon and Frank M. Stewart, III. You will find two pictures of the reel on page 27 of this book.This reel was originally part of the D.L. Rice collection that was started around 1900. It was then bought in the 1980s by a well known collector and then purchased by me in 2005. I will be sending along more information about the Rice collection to the winner of this reel along with the leather case. The foot has not been filed or altered and the reel is all original.
