⭕ Zeiss Ikon Ikovox D - epic cinema speakers
Very rare alnico cinema speakers from the 1950´s

A pair of working Zeiss Ikon 18 inch Alnico woofers and Multicell horn with Alnico drivers from the incredibly rare Zeiss Ikon Ikovox D cinema loudspeaker system. This was a large 2-way system - a big baffle, a horn and a 18 woofer. It was built in West Germany in the 1950´s and are MUCH rarer and sought after than Klangfilm or similar. The sound is special too. In my test baffle (Ikea table top - not included) the woofers and horns sounds big and beautiful with a warm juicy tone. I used a Vitavox 15 ohm crossover (not included) for testing and you can prepare your self for even better sound when used with a more optimized crossover. The woofers suspension seems to have become a little bit stiff after many years in storage but I truly believe that they will loosen up after some more playing time. Even now they make great bass when mounted in the test baffle and have no rubbing or other strange noises. Double bass is scaled and defined absolutly stunning and the midrange is very good too and spectacular for a 18 speaker. The woofers are in very nice condition visually without any tears or holes.
The horns blend right in with the woofers and plays crystal clear with great musicality and tone. They seems to be in very good technical condition.
