⭕ Very rare style game helmet from the 20s or 30s era. . ..This is a full face cover leather football helmet, commonly called the Executioner Helmet. This style was made to offer extra protection for lineman back in the old days and is very rare these days. . ..The helmet is all black and may have been painted originally back in the day when it was new, it was well done and doesnt look like it was ever touched up or redone, the leather looks old and all original to me. . ..Appears to be adult size but I didnt try it on, I dont want to stress the leather. . . Condition is really nice, nothing is missing and nothing looks ripped or even very worn. . .From the outside it has some light scratches and rubs from game use, and the leather has some wrinkles from use and age, it looks really well preserved to me. . ..The inside canvas strapping is all here and clean, he wore it some, its a bit dirty from sweat, but overall really nice for an item this age. . ..Looks like it may have been marked in the top of the lining but that has faded or worn off mostly, I couldnt read any of it. . ..Chin strap is very primitive style and is complete I think. . .There isnt a catch on the other side. . ..It is missing the shoelace that would have tied it like a shoe in the back when being worn, I suppose that can be replaced if desired, the eyelets are all fine and none are ripped, the young is still intact and fine as you can see. . .
