The instrument was internally reconditioned in 1990 with new strings,pins and the frame felts replaced. The action and hammers are in fine order and the frame and soundboard have been refinished.
This piano is in excellent order,structurally sound and tuned to concert pitch.There are no cracks to the soundboard,frame,bridges or wrestplank.
The Ebonised cabinet has some blemishes,however they do not detract from what would be considered a good cabinet which is aesthetically pleasing with all of its period features.
This piano plays exceptionally well and would be classed as a musicians instrument,it has a medium to light touch which is even throughout.The bass is rich and powerful and the treble is bright and clear.
