⭕ This recondition Hagspiel Baby Grand is a really special creation, and it was built between 1905 and 1920 in Hagspiels factory in Dresden. It was previously owned in the UK, and its previous owner was a musician, so over the years this piano has always received a well deserved amount of love and care. Therefore, over the past thirty years before coming to us, it was regularly tuned and kept in excellent condition. We are very proud of the service we have undertaken on this exquisite piano - weve in particular taken time and care to ensure that it retains much of its original character. We have reshaped the hammers, installed new tuning pins, new centre pins, serviced the original piano mechanism, and serviced the mechanism on the two original pedals. In addition we have also treated the casework to ensure it maintains its beautiful Walnut Satin finish. We have retained many of the original elements of the pianos such as the felts and strings. This mixture of the original and restored means that not only does this Hagspiel play well, but that it also feels that you are playing a piano of its age. Casters were factory to this piano at the time of its production, ensuring that it is easy to move around and it has the traditional 85 piano keys, made from Ebony and Ivory.

Hagspiel pianos are known for their typically German high standard of build quality, and traditionally were considered excellent value for money. This piano has a medium touch and a distinctive sound; - its very popular in our practice room. Its ease of playing means that although this Hagspiel Baby Grand is ideal for beginners, its tone means more developed players can also really enjoy it. It has a really amazing medium traditional classical tone, which is surprisingly bright given the pianos age. This is an instrument of character, antiquity and beauty, that offers something different to modern day pianos through its touch, appearance and sound - its an heirloom to be treasured for generations more to come.
