MARSHALL 1966 JTM-45 KITCHEN PLEXI GREEN SMALL BOX RARE

⭕ THIS IS A VERY RARE AND HISTORIC KITCHEN MARSHALL.
IT IS A TRUE JTM-45 GUITAR HEAD AND NOT A CONVERTED P.A. OR BASS HEAD.
IVE YET TO SEE ANOTHER REAL JTM-45 KITCHEN IN REAL LIFE.
MICHAEL DOYLES THE HISTORY OF MARSHALL BOOK HAS PHOTOS ON PAGES 87/105 & 109
THAT SHOW A DIFFERENT SMALL BOX KITCHEN AMP (ALL OBVIOUSLY THE SAME AMP) SO
WE CAN ASSUME THERE IS AT LEAST ONE OTHER. I COULDNT ADDRESS THE FACT OF IT BEING AN
UNCONVERTED JTM-45 HOWEVER BUT IS A SMALL BOX SO CHANCES ARE GREAT THAT IT IS.
YOU CANT TELL BY THE PICTURES IN THE BOOK.
I HAVE OWNED THIS AMP FOR 14+ YEARS NOW SO HAVE BEEN REALLY LOOKING FOR
OTHERS TO FIND OUT SPECS/INFO ETC ETC... WITHOUT ANY MORE KNOWLEDGE THAN WHAT I MENTIONED BEFORE.
BASIC FACTS OF THIS AMP:
1) IT IS A SMALL BOX JTM-45 WITH BLACK ON GREEN VINYL/LEVANT COVERING.
THE BACK COVER IS BLACK LEVANT WITH THE GOLD GRILLE AND IS PROBABLY THE ORIGINAL
BACK COVER AS THAT LEVANT WAS USED IN THE SAME TIME PERIOD.
2) IT HAS THE BLACK ON GOLD KITCHEN-MARSHALL STYLE PLEXIGLASS BLOCK LOGO.
3) IT IS AN ORIGINALLY FITTED EL-34 DESIGN AMP WITH GZ-34 RECTIFIER FROM (PROBABLY) LATE 1966.
4)) IT HAS THE GOLD PLEXIGLASS (plexi) FRONT PANEL.
5) IT HAS THE CREAM BACK PANEL.
6) IT HAS THE CLASSIC MARSHALL KNOBS.
7) IT RUNS AT 220 VOLTS SO A STEP UP TRANSFORMER HAS TO BE USED IN THE STATES.
8) IT HAS BEEN USED AND MAINTAINED PROPERLY SINCE MY OWNERSHIP!

I WILL ALSO ADD THAT THIS AMP IS FEATURED ON PAGE 127 OF MICHAEL DOYLES THE HISTORY OF MARSHALL BOOK.
I BOUGHT THE AMP FROM A STORE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CIRCA JUNE OF 1996 THAT SOLD IT IN BEHALF OF MR. DOYLE.
LETTERS OF PROVNENCE FROM THE STORE AND MR. DOYLE ARE INCLUDED (see pics) AS WELL AS THE BOOK.
I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THIS AMP AND ITS RARITY BUT YOU PROBABLY ALREADY KNOW THIS IF YOU HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR. OPENING BID REFLECTS HISTORIC ELEMENT AND VALUE PLUS EBAYS 10% CUT.

CONDITION
The condition of this amp is in very good to very good plus ORIGINAL condition.
Everything is stock original except for one volume/tone knob that Ive replaced with another original knob from the same period.
also two of the tube covers are later stock.
All transformers are original. All caps are the stock ones. Everything is original except above said knob to the best of my knowledge.
This amp has NEVER gone down on me or has broken and Ive driven/used it pretty good/hard.
If you need specifics about condition of vinyl/levant, plexiglass, components etc etc Ill just say look at the pics and decide for yourself.
It does have some wear but nothing to cry over. There are a few cracks to the front plexi glass at the input section (see pics.)
The cream back panel has a crack as well at the output section (see pics.)
It also has a few blemishes to the vinyl/levant which are minor (see pics.)
This amp is in a decent nice shape. If I had to do the number thing from 1 to 10 I would conservatively say 8.3 to 8.5 (cosmetically.)
Im not much of a sales type guy so like I mentioned before Ill let you look at the pics!
You can also ask any questions and I will try to answer them as well as I am able.

TONE
Soundwise this is what you would expect. A TONE BOX to say the least! I really dont want to let this amp go!
I recorded my first 2 albums with this amp (and others.) A great representation of this amp would be the melody rhythm of APPLICATION FOR PRESIDENT
from the OMNIUMGATHERUM lp or all the guitars on LOT 49 from the S/T record. You can hear this from my webpage or any place that sells these cds.
No MODIFICATIONs (mods) have been done to this amp in my time with it or any that I know about and can see.
The only part I have swapped out is a replaced knob that was there when I bought it has been replaced by an original (or closer to) knob.
Right now I use EH or SOVTEK power tubes as I do use the amp a lot and it LIKES them and they are fairly reasonable to buy.
The pre amp tubes are old MULLARDS and the driver is a phillips. It came with PINNACLE power tubes which I still have. I cant remember if they are a UK design.
