Silvio Calabi writes in his book,Antique Fishing Tackle,page 85,the classic,highly desirable Edward Vom Hofe Perfection trout fly feel set the standard for all others that followed the red dots and pointer indicate the drag setting,established in 1879.
In flawless original condition except for a small area of diminished nickel-silver on the inside surface of the narrow frame...very minor.Diameter of approximately 2 3/4.
