Dietz Hot Blast Hurricane Lamp

⭕ Invented in 1868 by Robert Irwin of the Dietz lamp company of New York this storm lantern was in continuous production for over a hundred years. It uses the novel idea of directing some of the hot exhaust gases back down the side tubes to feed the burner resulting in a brighter more stable flame. Dietz moved production of these Monarch 10 lamps to Hong Kong in 1956, this lamp is earlier and was made in the USA.
This 14 tall lamp is beautiful condition and has been fitted with a new wick.
Totally reliable and very economical , will light for over 12 hours on a fill of Paraffin / kerosene.
IMPORTANT. The fuel cap seal on a vintage oil lamp has almost always perished and this can cause dangerous leaks. I have replaced this seal with a modern Viton seal that will last for many years.
Great for emergencies, off grid, camping etc
Supplied with instructions for use.

This is a quality lamp, not to be confused with cheap chinese lamps that leak and produce smelly smoke.

I also have several cold blast oil lamps for sale

I have many used / vintage tools for sale,
Record and Stanley planes ,
Sheffield cast steel chisels
Sharpening supplies
Tools for modern / vintage cars
24 hour delivery 46. Additional items go free.
