⭕ This clock is a truly beautiful antique directors boardroom Ebony & ormolu bronze triple fusee musical bell top bracket clock of superb proportions and of the highest quality imaginable in excellent condition
The case features a georgian 18th century bell top
design with loads of solid bronze cast ormolu mounts decorating it. The case has superb intricate pierced brass fret sounding panels to sides with thier original silk behind them with pierced frets also to corners of front door with original silk
The case is in excellent condition for age and looks amazing wherever it is displayed totally orginal in immaculate condition with the original polished finish to the Ebony
I have never seen a clock like this before and is certainly a very rare one for the serious collection triple fusee chiming on 8 bells
The ebony case has a stunning colour and patina to it which is acquired through age. This is exactly how i have received it and it looks 200% better in the flesh with good original cast bronze mounts contrasting it with original ormolu finish and patina to them
The clock features a high quality brass and silvered dial with matted centre and 2 subsidary dials to the top arch and original cast bronze ormolu spandrels to corners. The 2 subsidary dials to top all do a job. One is for Silent/Chime and the other one to the right is a selection dial to choose between the different musical chimes either on 8 bells or Westminster on 5 bells and engraved roman numerals and original english hands again all in great original condition protected by its glass hinged door with original working lock and key
The movement is absoulutely fantastic striking on 8 bells. The quarter chiming musical chimes every quarter of an hour on 8 bells or 4 bells and the hourly strike on a seperate gong on the hour after the musical chimes have finished playing.
The movement is in perfect working order and is chiming superbly and ticks away beautifully as you can see and hear from the video above
The movement has a silent/strike option so you can switch the hour strike off if you wanted. The movement comes with its original pendulum all working fantastically keeping perfect time as you would expect from a high quality clock and sounds absolutely stunning when playing the 4 bells/8 bell tunes
The clock measures an impressive 29 inches high x 17.5 inches wide x 10.5 inches deep and looks super impressive wherever it is displaid
