⭕ An iconic original sculpture by the artist Banksy. This sculpture is one of a limited edition of just 15 produced for the Santas Ghetto show in Bethlehem in 2007. It is signed, numbered.


Much of Banksys work investigates the tension between two seemingly incompatible images - for example children and bullet proof vests, a rioter throwing a bunch of flowers or a girl hugging a bomb. This work does the same although more subtly. Its carved from olive wood - the traditional tree of peace that has been grown for thousands of years in the Palestinian territories, but has been fashioned in to a watchtower, a contemporary symbol of Israeli oppression.



Over the past decade Banksy has made the journey from outlaw to cultural phenomenon. His works are now very valuable, with original pieces regularly selling for tens or even hundreds of thousands of pounds. This is a stunning object, but its also a very shrewd investment.


The piece measures about 25cm in height and is hand carved from olive wood. It is in absolutely original condition, but it is a hand carved piece, so it doesnt have a factory finish and there is a small section of loose bark on the base.
