⭕ Super rare skinner by W. F. Moran, Master of the Forge. This knife was made in the late 70s to early 80s and is marked Moran only.

The knife has Bills trademark gorgeous hand file work on top of the 6 1/4 blade and on top of the exposed tang, just about unheard of from Bill on a skinner. This skinner has a file worked brass guard also, another super rare trait.

It has beautiful maple slabs with silver wire inlay which is also unheard of on a Bill Moran skinner. He must have made this knife for a friend because you just dont see them like this. It comes in a beautiful handcrafted sheath with his famous line of tooling.

The knife and sheath are absolutely mint. As mentioned above, what makes this knife really stand out and so rare is Bill made very few skinners with silver wire inlay or with full tang handle construction. Both of these options were normally reserved for his fighters, so this is a truly special hand forged knife by Bill Moran.

There is something to be said of a knife maker who stands over a hot forge and pounds out the rough shape of a blade, does the rough grinding and finish polishing. From start to finish a uniquely hand made piece.
