Civil War Union Officers Sword Presentation Grade


⭕ This is a model 1850, presentation grade sword, marked Iron Cutter, Schuyler Hartley Graham New York, on spine. 30 & 1/2 double fuller blade etched with vine & leves on both sides. U.S on left side above 13 star flag & pennants. Right side has American Eagle under E Pluribus Unum Gold washed brass guard retains over half of its gilt. Guard is pierced with U.S vines & flowers. Grip is White Sharkskin excellent condition,. all wire wrapping is 100% complete & tight-twisted copper. Gold guilt sword knot is included- in excellent condition.

Leather scabbard with very ornate mounts-top engraved with large US, above an Angel pointing to an American Eagle, with a Shield on reverse. Center mount has geometric scroll & flowers. Drag has large oval with American Eagle & shield & flags on reverse.Blade is excellent.

Leather scabbard 100% complete-supple leather, On pommel hilt is engraved oval, with initials FH in old english script-of the period.
